VIC: Syringe bandit robs convenience store

MELBOURNE, Dec 20 AAP - A syringe-wielding bandit held up a convenience store in
inner-suburban North Melbourne tonight.

The man entered the Flemington Road 7-Eleven store and threatened the attendant with a
syringe containing a red liquid about 7pm.

After taking a quantity of cash, he fled on foot along Flemington Road, police said.

He is described as 20 to 25 years of age, 170cm tall, medium build, with light brown hair,
wearing blue jeans, a black tracksuit top and a baseball cap.
